The Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County has activated a School Readiness wait-list, effective Tuesday 7/9/2019, in order to focus efforts on EFS Modernization true-up for the fiscal year ending 6/30/2019. The Coalition expects the true-up process to be completed by September, when we  expect to begin pulling from the wait-list and continuing enrollment efficiently.  The wait-list applies to the School Readiness Subsidized Childcare Program only and does not affect application for enrollment to the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program currently underway.

Working parents who earn low to moderate income and/or attend school full-time may qualify for financial assistance to pay a portion of their costs for early learning childcare services for children from BIRTH to kindergarten age, and in some cases, up to age 13, through our School Readiness Subsidized Childcare Program. You can easily apply online through our GOLD Family Portal button on the home page of this website.

School Readiness childcare funding is available to eligible families to assist them in obtaining affordable, high quality child care. Children are eligible from birth through 12 years of age. If you and your family meet the below eligibility criteria, you may qualify for child care funding either through a referring agency or by applying to our wait list:

  • Children must live in a low-income family where parent/guardians work or attend school at least 20 hours per week.
  • Gross income must be at or below 150% of the federal poverty for family size. THIS will be st lUCIE’S HERE Click Here to view the current federal income guidelines.
