St. Lucie Reads is a public campaign to ensure that students are reading at grade level by 3rd grade. Through partnerships with local businesses and organizations, they are working together as a community to support the efforts of: school readiness, summer learning and school attendance. Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County, St. Lucie Schools, Children’s Services Council and ALPI partner to present an Early Childhood Educators Conference, Shake, Rattle & Roll, on Saturday, February 1, 2020, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM at Ft. Pierce Central High School. Registration is free and on a first available basis, for Pre-Kindergarten Teachers in St. Lucie County, online only. This year’s topic is Learning Through Movement, with a keynote by Tony Keynote Speaker: Tony Chaidez, with Lakeshore Learning, and break-out sessions to be announced.
Registration for the 2020 Early Childhood Conference is now open for Teachers and Assistants of Children Birth to Age 5 only.

Ever dream of a race with a donut stop instead of a water stop? Friday, March 13, 2020 can be your lucky day! Registration is now open for the Run for the Donuts, a family-friendly run/walk with donuts at the turnaround. Mark your calendars now as your Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County presents their annual Family Fun Fair, in Fort Pierce, on Saturday, April 18, 2020, from 10 AM- 1 PM, in partnership with Children’s Services Council and Florida’s Office of Early Learning. We will announce the location soon for this FREE family event, which features a drum circle, dozens of story stations, princess and puppet shows, a mini-safety village and soccer obstacle course.
