Locating Child Care

Choosing the right child care program for your children is not an easy task, especially now, with limitations caused by COVID-19. During the pandemic, locating open child care centers may be especially challenging, so the Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County is making every effort to provide the most up to date information for you.

The child care centers that are CURRENTLY open are marked with a balloon on our interactive map below. These contracted centers have indicated their intention to remain open for the foreseeable future. We will continue to update this list as information becomes available, so be sure to check back frequently.

In addition, there are a number of Family Childcare Homes that have openings for School Readiness Program children. If you need assistance locating a childcare center, contact the Family Services Department at 772-595-6363 or email Michele Z. at ghorbam01@elcslc.org.

**Basic listings and attachments may not be updated frequently on this website. For the most up to date information, or a list of providers near your home or business, please contact Family Services at 772-595-6363.

The Early Learning Coalition has also compiled important information ranging from how to request a list of child care providers to warning signs of poor child care. This data should help you choose the program that best suits your family’s needs. You want it to be an environment that provides your children with the best possible foundation for educational success. In our community, you will find many philosophies, facilities and styles of teaching.
