Locating Child Care

Choosing the right child care program for your children is not an easy task. You want it to be an environment that provides your children with the best possible foundation for educational success. In our community, you will find many philosophies, facilities and styles of teaching.

The Early Learning Coalition has compiled important information ranging from how to request a list of child care providers to warning signs of poor child care. This data should help you choose the program that best suits your family’s needs.

Wait-list for School Readiness Program

The Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County will activate a School Readiness wait-list, effective Tuesday 7/9/2019 at 11: 59:00 pm, in order to focus efforts on EFS Modernization true-up for the fiscal year ending 6/30/2019. All applications received prior to this date and time will be processed accordingly. The Coalition expects the true-up process to be completed by mid-August, at which time, we  expect to begin pulling from the wait-list and continuing enrollment efficiently.

The wait-list applies to the School Readiness Subsidized Childcare Program only and does not affect application for enrollment to the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program currently underway.
