Child Care Resource & Referral at a Glance

Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) is a FREE community service offering information and referral services to all families who are seeking:
  • Quality child care information
  • Summer and holiday child care solutions
  • Child care services for a special needs child
  • Financial assistance options
CCR&R also assists in the recruitment, startup and support of providers, while promoting quality, availability and affordability of existing services in the community.

CCR&R makes referrals only, not recommendations. We do not warrant the information provided. We do not license, endorse or recommend any particular provider, nor can we assure a program gives quality child care.
Who Can Benefit from CCR&R?

CCR&R is available to parents, guardians, employers and childcare providers.

CCR&R is part of the statewide Child Care Resource and Referral Network funded by the Florida Office of Early Learning (FOEL).

How to Request CCR&R Services

The CCR&R office maintains a database of all legally operating childcare providers in St. Lucie County. It includes providers which are licensed, license-exempt, faith based, registered family child care homes and non-traditional child care entities.
  • Parents can contact CCR&R to request a customized, unbiased computer generated list of early care services by calling 772-595-6363 or
  • Visit our office at 5000 Dunn Road in Fort Pierce, during office hours Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to  5 p.m.
Parents can schedule a 20 minute interview with our CCR&R Specialists. During the interview, you will have the opportunity to ask specific questions regarding childcare and early childhood education options.

In addition, parents can find out how to access financial assistance, locate referrals to social service organizations, and obtain a customized list of childcare services meeting the parent’s needs, all personailized to your needs. This list can be e-mailed, mailed, faxed or picked up at the Coalition office.

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)'s is a resource for families. It includes articles, blogs, accredited childcare sites and general information about child growth and development.
