Our professional team is committed to providing the children of St. Lucie County with the best possible early learning experience. Each team member contributes to the quality and success of our Coalition. Our 26 member team includes child care resource and referral specialists; school readiness and voluntary prekindergarten specialists; contract/data specialists; fiscal assistants; resource specialists; administrative assistant; Director of Family Services; Director of Programs; Operations/HR Manager; Chief Financial Officer; Community Outreach Manager and Chief Executive Officer. 

The Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County, Inc. offers an outstanding workplace environment and excellent benefits. Our full time regular employees become eligible for benefits after 90 days of employment. Team members work 8 hour days.  The Coalition is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The St. Lucie County Human Resources Association and the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce honored the Coalition as one of the Best Places to Work in St. Lucie County in 2008, 2009 and 2010. The award is given to local employers whose personnel practices are considered to be the best in the county.

VPK and SCHOOL READINESS ASSISTANCE

Wait-list for School Readiness Program

The Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County will activate a School Readiness wait-list, effective Tuesday 7/9/2019 at 11: 59:00 pm, in order to focus efforts on EFS Modernization true-up for the fiscal year ending 6/30/2019. All applications received prior to this date and time will be processed accordingly. The Coalition expects the true-up process to be completed by mid-August, at which time, we  expect to begin pulling from the wait-list and continuing enrollment efficiently.  
 
The wait-list applies to the School Readiness Subsidized Childcare Program only and does not affect application for enrollment to the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program currently underway.
 

Change the First Five Years...

Office Closed for Labor Day holiday

 
The Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County, Inc. office will be closed for the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 2, 2019. Our office will re-open with regular office hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.
 
During our closure, if you have a child care emergency and need to search for a provider or you wish to report child abuse or neglect you can do so, online at www.myflfamilies.com.  If you are in need community referrals, please contact 211.
 

We've moved to our new permanent office!

We've moved our office to a NEW, PERMANENT, MORE CONVENIENT location! Our new office is on the Third Floor of the Treasure Health Building, 5000 Dunn Road, in Fort Pierce (on the corner of Midway Road and Dunn) with regular office hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
