What is the Father & Child Connection Program?

The Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County recognizes the critical role a father plays in a child’s development. The intent of the Father & Child Connection Program is to educate fathers about the necessary skills to assist them in fulfilling their responsibilities to their children. This is accomplished through one-on-one, group, or other events which offer activities for fathers and children.

The Father & Child Connection Program provides activities where men can come together with their children to enjoy quality time and gain valuable fathering skills. This program also offers the Nurturing Fathers course, where fathers meet weekly to take a closer look at how they where raised, their parenting skills, and how to nurture healthy family relationships. Fathers, stepfathers, uncles, grandfathers and even boyfriends of single moms join the ranks of those who have participated. This program is free for all St Lucie County men, thanks to a generous grant provided by the Children's Services Council of St. Lucie County
