About Us

THE EARLY LEARNING COALITION OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY

We are a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization formed in 1999 in response to Legislative mandates responsible for overseeing and funding early childhood and child care programs. Since that time, the Coalition has worked to cultivate a child care/school readiness delivery system that is developmentally appropriate and research-based. The Early Learning Coalition of st. Lucie County strives to involve parents as their child’s first teacher, supports family health and involvement, serves as a preventative measure for children at-risk of school failure and enhances the educational readiness of eligible children throughout the community. Also, as of January 2, 2005, the Coalition administers the Voluntary Prekindergarten Program (VPK) for eligible four-year-olds in St. Lucie County.

Our Vision
All of St. Lucie County’s children achieve educational success and
become productive members of society.

Our Mission

The mission of the Early Learning Coalition of St. Lucie County is to provide quality child care and educational programs for eligible children.
